Description

The heartwood of Zebrawood is golden-yellow in color with narrow streaks of deep brown to black which create the appearance of zebra stripes on quartered surfaces.
Hard and soft grains are alternated in a grain that is interlocked or wavy.
The surface has a lustrous finish and a coarse texture. Zebrawood is durable and resistant to long-time use.

Properties & Uses

Zebrawood is a very decorative wood and it can be used frequently for carvings. It is commonly used as a sliced veneer and in demand with custom applications, such as cabinetry or casework, tool handles, paneling, flush doors, marquetry, and boatbuilding. You can also use zebrawood for knife handles, skis, platters and woodenware.
